Biting the inside of his cheeks, he desperately hoped that his panic wouldn’t show itself on his features. He was good at hiding his feelings, better than Hinata, at least. He believed so. But in all honesty, besides asking what happened and giving him tissues, he didn’t know jack. So, for now, he had to…hope, for the best.
His appearance did nothing to ease him either. He looked so exhausted, it was a pain to look at. He wanted to help, he really did, but for once in his life, he was clueless. He felt stupid. Everyone knew how to help others, but him. He was absolutely useless in this situation. Burying his hands deep in his pockets, he tried to busy with hands with whatever he found inside.
“..A..are you sure that’s all? That’s really it? D-do you need to lay down then?”
That’s what you usually do when you are tired, right? That was his only idea to help him. Why did he even want to help him? God, everything was confusing!
Hinata looked down at his shoes. He wrung his hands together and darted his eyes back and forth. Now he felt guilty for crying. He knew the other was terrible at this kinda thing and he didn’t wanna make him uncomfortable with this. But, what can you do? Shit happens.
Before he knew it, he felt a sudden mood shift of sadness gradually rising to his usual childish happiness. He violently nodded at the other’s question. Yes. He had a plan. A perfect, kind of couple bonding plan. Or something like that. Hopefully this one would work. He didn’t have high hopes, just in case, though.
“Y-Yeah! I’ll lay down…! Will you come with me? I won’t do anything bad, I promise.”
To signify he promised and would keep that promise, he brought a finger over to his own chest and made an X symbol over it. Smooth.
